It’s a SNOW DAY here in NC! I love snow days. We always enjoy going out to sled at the favorite local sledding spot in town and we always end up at the Waffle House with friends! It is always have so much fun watching the kids sled down those big hills! They have a blast!! What kind of snow day traditions do you have?
Today, I wanted to hop on and do a quick blog post on my newest Amazon purchases I am so OBSESSED with!!
I have been getting gel manicures for quite a while now. Life is busy so I don’t always have time to go get them done every two weeks and it gets crazy expensive. I decided to search on Amazon and I found all of the items I need to do my own gel manicure at home!!! How great is this??
While I am sitting at home enjoying this amazing snow day, I wanted to share with you the items I purchased just in case you are interested in doing your own manicures at home. Days like today when I am “snowed in” are perfect days to turn on HGTV and do a manicure. 🙂
The Sun UV LED Lamp I purchased was around $32 with free prime shipping. It worked great! I am so impressed with this lamp! I give it two thumbs up! 😉
I love neutral grey colors for the winter so the 8 pk. Mini Gel Polish I chose is perfect. It has several different shades of greys, a couple light pinks, and even a glitter one. 😉 They are mini bottles, but I think they will last for quite a while. The polish was about $16 with free prime shipping.
The most important part of the manicure is having the base and top coats to cure the polish. I think that is what helps it stay on so long. I ordered the ones they use at my salon and they worked great. It is a 4 pack and comes with the primer, foundation, top coat, and cuticle oil. Gelish 4 pk. Set is $35, but I definitely think it’s worth it. There were cheaper ones, but I wanted the real deal. LOL
I did the final step of using rubbing alcohol to get the sticky feel off of the nails and it worked like a charm!
I would love to hear if you decide to purchase any of these items. I think you will love them as much as I do!
I hope you are enjoying your snow days if you have snow where you are! Stay warm friends!
